PAAF Leadership Conference 2024 for Secondary School Prefects
On the 30th of January, 2024, the Prince Adeyinka Alli Foundation hosted a Secondary School Prefects Leadership Seminar under the theme "Ignite: Empowering Students for Impact." The seminar aimed to equip secondary school prefects with leadership skills and inspire them to make a positive impact in their schools and communities. The event was attended by representatives from eight secondary schools, with ten prefects and one teacher from each school. The presence of these delegates highlighted the importance of grooming future leaders and fostering leadership qualities among young individuals.
The keynote speaker for the seminar was Prof. Wunmi Adeitan from Ekiti State University, a renowned educator and expert in leadership development. Prof. Adeitan delivered an insightful speech on the principles of effective leadership, emphasizing the importance of integrity, empathy, and vision in guiding others.
The seminar featured interactive sessions, workshops, and group activities designed to enhance the leadership skills of the prefects. Topics covered included communication skills, conflict resolution, decision-making, and teamwork. The practical nature of these sessions allowed the participants to actively engage and apply the concepts discussed.
Throughout the seminar, there was a palpable sense of enthusiasm and eagerness among the participants to learn and grow as leaders.
The prefects expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to attend such a valuable event and pledged to implement the knowledge gained in their respective schools.
