PAAF AGED Medicare Outreach

Good health is a precious asset for continuous living, and at Prince Adeyinka Alli Foundation, we believe in making healthcare accessible to the aged and people in the rural communities.

On the 22nd of April 2023, during PAAF Aged Medicare outreach,  the PAAF Team paid a visit to HRM Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon, the king of Isan community in Ekiti state. The visit culminated with the free medical outreach to hundred elderly members of the community. HRM Oba Adejuwon expressed deep gratitude to the noble work Prince Adeyinka Alli Foundation has been delivering towards bettering the lives of people.

The Medicare outreach also took place in Itapa community in Ekiti state delivering health services to over a hundred elderly persons in attendance.

Blood pressure, blood sugar tests and general body diagnosis were carried out on the aged who attended the medical program.

The Aged also received free malaria drugs from our project partner Phamatex Industries Limited producers of the Lumapil Forte anti malaria drugs.

In the course of the Medicare outreach, a recurrent medical report was an increase in the blood sugar levels of the participants due to their highly saturated carbohydrate based diet. The elderly were sensitized on the dangers of eating an unhealthy diet and were equipped with drugs that can help reduce and control their blood sugar levels.

Caring for the elderly is a privilege, and we do not take it for granted.

At Prince Adeyinka Alli Foundation, we believe that the sound health of our aged will help them function better as custodians of wisdom.
